Relationship to me:- Great, Great, Great, Great Uncle.
I have discovered no additional information about Jane other than she was born in 1793 and passed away on the 18th. July 1878 aged 85. She and David produced 3 offspring.
George was born in 1820 and immigrated to Australia at some time as he died ay Ballarat in Victoria in January 1861.
Margaret was born in 1826 and sadly passed away on 28th February 1827.
The second Margaret was born in 1832 and lived to be 73, dying on 17th. July 1905 at Moffat, Scotland. At this time it was not unusual to name a second child for one who died, particularly if the first child died young.
Jessie was born in 1836 and again as what was not unusual for the era, passed away aged only 2 in March 1836 at Capplegill Scotland. Modern references to Capplegill only refer to it as again a farm. It could have been a village in the 1800s, although I can find no indication that this was the case.
